Tim has over 17 years experience teaching in primary schools and nurseries in Kent and London. He enjoys working with all age groups from 0-11 and can tailor lessons to suit the needs of the settings and pupils. Tim's approach to music teaching at school age follows the principles of Kodály, putting the emphasis on the use of the voice and body as the main musical instruments and teaching tools. This means that lessons can be fast-paced and entertaining while also not needing lots of expensive instruments or resources. Tim can also deliver staff-training sessions to give teachers an introduction to the Kodály principles and also give lots of simple ideas for everyday music making in the classroom.
